Wendy from Minnesota has been riding horses for thirty years, beginning at a young age at her uncle’s farm, but did not ride seriously until she was in her 20’s.

Wendy struggled with her confidence at first, when she compared her riding skills to others...

“I always kind of felt like I was not as good as everybody else. When I had to switch horses, and get on a younger one, it just kind of brought all of that to the surface, you know, I rode the same old guy for 20 some years. Eventually we worked it out, and had good rides, but then when I had to switch to a younger horse, it really made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe, and questioning my own abilities.”

We realize that there are people in this group who feel the same as Wendy, maybe because they started getting into horses later, or put horses on the backburner. Our program provides a boost of confidence and inspiration by taking you step-by-step through the program, through the videos.

“I appreciate it, because when we did the last week’s video review of my cantering, and I was kind of down on myself, feeling like I’m not making any progress, I appreciate the feedback. After that, I went back through and looked at some older videos, and I’m like, ‘I am making progress."

Wendy’s goal in the program was to improve her skills to help her horse Fireball, or any horse she may ride, reach their potential.

“I know what I’m doing is helping, because when I was at the last retreat, and Michael got on Fireball, I was astounded at how wonderful he looked.”

She wanted to raise her skill level, so she could ride with the same ease as Michael showed.

Wendy loves that the program is enjoyable and fun!

“For me, I think, the biggest thing is the learning. We get so busy in our adult lives that I forget that I have always been a person who enjoys to learn new things. And I feel like this has really given me a way to refocus my energy, and now I feel like I have a goal or a path…I have a purpose.”
